Reviews of the Literature: Getting Started

Reviews of the Literature: Getting Started Online

Those new to research or with those who are short on time and/or collaborators may see a literature review as an appealing option to getting published. But, with over 50 different types of literature reviews, it can be challenging to know where to start. Common review types include systematic reviews, scoping reviews, rapid reviews, and narrative reviews. Some of these literature reviews are very rigorous and can take years and a team of people to complete. Others are less intensive in terms of both time and resources. Determining the literature review that is right for you is dependent on a number of factors, including your topic, your timeframe, and your publication goals. Attend this session to learn more about the primary types of literature reviews.
